Welcome to the Ernst Music Studio!

Teaching music is our passion and we've been sharing our love of music with hundreds of students in Northern Calvert county and South Anne Arundel county since 1990. Whether you're a beginner, an advanced student pursuing a music career, or a returning adult, we have lessons designed to help you meet your goals, increasing your love of music and fostering an atmosphere where you can improve your musical skills. Private lessons on piano, flute, saxophone, clarinet, and oboe are offered, in addition to music theory & musicianship classes and vocal coaching in our Chesapeake Beach studio.

Tracey Ernst is a veteran, seasoned music educator with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education from the University of Maryland, who has served as a public school music teacher, choir director & accompanist, band director, and private piano & flute teacher. Tracey serves each week, using her piano performing skills accompanying the Sanctuary Choir accompanist at Friendship U.M.C., as well as being an active substitute accompanist as many local churches. Tracey also accompanies several of the local middle and elementary choruses and works with individual students to prepare for Solo & Ensemble Festival. She is a former member of  MTAGC, MTNA, MSMTA, MENC and has served as an adjudicator and master class clinician.

Allison Kerr is a full time elementary general music teacher at Mechanicsville Elementary in St. Mary's County. Allison received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Messiah College and holds a Masters degree in Kodaly Music Education from Loyola University and advanced certification from the American Kodaly Institute. In addition to her regular classroom duties, Allison serves as the accompanist for the SMCPS Elementary All-County Honors Chorus, and serves as a substitute accompanist for local churches.

Sarah Brosvic is new to the Ernst Music Studio, having moved to southern Maryland from Kent, Ohio this summer. She taught piano at the Aurora School of Music for five years, and has maintained a private studio in Kent since 2013. Sarah directed the New Spirit Vocal Ensemble at the United Methodist Church of Kent for six years, and also served as an ensemble accompanist and substitute organist. She received her Bachelor of Music from Messiah College under Richard Roberson and Ya-Ting Chang, and a Master of Music from Kent State University. Her passion is guiding students in the discovery of the joy of music making.

Kaity Oates grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Messiah College in 2012 with a music education degree as a saxophone major. She is also in the process of obtaining her Masters degree in music education from Liberty University. Kaity is a full time middle school chorus teacher at Calvert Middle School and previously taught general music and chorus at Appeal Elementary School (PAC) in Lusby. Kaity has worked with Chesapeake Church's children's choir and played saxophone and clarinet with various local ensembles. Kaity serves as a substitute teacher in the studio as needed and offers woodwind lessons out of her home in Prince Frederick.
